Hello everyone. In the process of replacing my ABS Wheel sensor/hub and running into a little issue. The ABS assembly is from A-Premium Auto Parts. It appears well built and everything looks to be an exact match, size, dimensions, etc. The issue I’m running into is the lower Torx Bolt, when fully seated/torqued down, rubs on the wheel studs (picture below). All of the torx bolts are the same length and I know it’s on the right way. Any reason this is happening and any suggestions? Car is a 2009 Z06. Thank you in advance.
Note: I know it is not touching in this picture. That is because I don’t have it tightened down all the way.

Other owners have had the same problem with some aftermarket hubs.
GM actually makes a 4mm shorter bolt for the bottom position, part number 11610504. It's expensive.
You could hit the existing lower bolt with a grinder. I'd paint or otherwise coat the end afterward to prevent corrosion.
You could also replace the bolt with something like McMaster-Carr p/n 90128A299. It looks like an okay substitute, albeit with a plain zinc coating instead of GM's magic aluminum-zinc coating and an Allen head instead of Torx.
[Edit: the head of that McMaster-Carr bolt is ~3mm longer than stock, which would likely interfere with a wrench on the lower ball joint nut]

Reason: Head of McMaster bolt is too high
Wow I really appreciate this. The part number that you posted for McMaster, you know this fits and is shorter for sure? Thank you for all of this information.

The standard bolts are M12 x 1.75 x 54mm. I have one right in front of me. GM describes the shorter bolt as 50mm long.
That McMaster-Carr bolt is probably not a great fit because the listed head dimensions are 18mm diameter x 12mm high. The stock bolts are ~18.7mm diameter x ~9.1mm. 3mm is a lot of stick out, and I'm not crazy about reduced bearing area under the head.
If you don't use the shorter GM bolts, I would grind down the ones you've got.
Also, make sure you've got the right hubs for your model year. 2009 and later have Bosch ABS with a different speed sensor.
I've had bad luck with very short service life from standard aftermarket hubs. Road race guys pretty much all use the SKF HD / X-Trackers (not the standard SKFs) because all the cheap hubs die immediately.
