Default 2006 Corvette Fuel Pump not working

Hello, so i had to drop my differential and my transmission to service them. I decided to fix my fuel gauge issue while i was at it. So i Started to watch this youtube video and he showed how to siphon gas out from the engine.
https://youtu.be/84s-Q4xBiy4?si=scbGAW5G6B0419ji
I hooked everything up like he did and POP sparks went all over my fuze box i had it exactly connected like he did. My Fuel pump fuze popped i replaced that and connected the fuel pump relay back and now the car doesn't want to start…. (its not sending fuel up to the engine) What are the possible causes because i don't want to replace the fuel pump and it not work. Are there any more things that could've went wrong in between my fuze box and my fuel pump. Thank you

here is another link on how to siphon fuel out of tank.

[How to:] Siphon fuel using factory fuel pump with no FUSS and no MUSS! - CorvetteForum - Chevrolet Corvette Forum Discussion
it is possible that the fuel pump is toasted during the procedure. but as I remember the fuel pump and sending unit are in one assembly.

I can't open that video but did you jump pins 30 and 87 at the fuel pump relay ??...that should start the pump because that is the load side of the relay...you may see some sparks but it sounds like you saw fireworks...if you had a hose with the Schrader valve depressor on it you could have attached that hose to a bucket a gotten the fuel out that way...pin 87 goes down to the fuel pump on a gray wire.

Load side power feed is hot at all times so you don’t need the ignition in ACC or RUN !!…do you have 12 volts on the feed side which is the pin closest to the fender ??…the other pin if you hook up a test light to B+ should light up…you are checking from the fuse box through the fuel pump windings to ground.

Relays like this are best checked with a 12 volt incandescent test light…one with a bulb and not LED…a voltmeter if you don’t understand these relays are designed can get you in trouble or be misleading.

Who said your fuel pump was bad ???…I thought you were getting a test light so we can do some checks at the relay and some other wiring ….how do you know the relay is working ??
