Both fobs suddenly quit working
I used the car yesterday without issue. This morning the car would not unlock with either fob. Both fobs have new batteries and the car's battery is good. Car is a 2006 convertible and I am the sole owner since new. I didn't have time this morning to manually enter the car and it's still dark at 0500. Any ideas on where to start after I get open the car manually? I am handy with a wrench as all of the work on this car has been done by me since new. Thanks.

If you haven't been in the car yet, I assume you haven't been able to test the main battery yet. It could have run down overnight. The main battery remains the prime suspect until proven not guilty.
If the main battery is strong (as in strong enough to fire up the car with the fob in the glovebox), it's possible that a dual fob failure could be caused by a new source of radio interference near your car.

One thing I forgot to mention is the red LED lock indicator lights up when I try to open the door. I would assume this means there is some juice left in the battery. I'm heading out to open it manually soon to see what's going on. I don't want to disturb the neighbours yet when or if the alarm goes off. I'll post what I find out. Thanks for everyone's input.

It's fixed. Sometimes it's the simplest of things. It turns out the fob batteries that I thought were new in the package must have exceeded their shelf life. I put brand new batteries in and both fobs work perfectly. My main battery has 12.4VDC static and reads 14.2 when running.
