Switched from Gumbys, with summer tires 245/35/18 - 285/35/19 to replica Zr1, with all season tires, 265/40/18 - 285/35/19. Wheels with the all season seem to ride rougher. It is cold out but that shouldn't affect AS tires. Last time I drove on summer tires, temp was warmer. Just curios and seeking other's experiences or knowledge.

I would go non run flats. (just keep a portable air compressor in the trunk) I run summer tires all the time, but i live in sunny socal so.... but my rule of thumb is if conditions are not optimal just dont drive like a BMW owner.
As far as tire size i am not sure if those sizes will set off an issue with traction control. I had 255 in front and 295 in back and my traction control would go off all the time.
