I need some help on a 2012 GS with 21k miles. Getting a bunch of codes. Like service anti lockl breaks, service vehicle soon, service traction system, service active handling system, max speed 80 mph, shocks inoperative, service ride control. With my cheap obd scanner, I have a U0073. The car was shifting bad, idling funny, and didn't sound correct. Had the battery checked at oriely and they said it was good. This is a new to me car. Of course none of this happened when I got it a couple weeks ago. If I turn it off and wait a while, it goes back to normal. Then when I start to drive it, it all comes back. Help.
You can check the Blue Connectors under the passenger foot well. These can be shifted by a passenger pushing hard on the footwell, and that will cause fretting and can give all kinds of alarms. Disconnect the battery, unplug those connectors, check to make sure pins are not bent, contact cleaner, reconnect and see if this helps.
Also a spark plug wire that comes off can cause all kinds or weird as well.
Sounds like a good time to buy a set of service manuals ($400) and a Tech II ($300). The dealer will eat that cost up in a day just dicking the dog on your dime.
First thing I would try is to swap in a known good battery. Many times when you start getting multiple codes like that it's due to a weak battery. And there are plenty of examples where owners were told the battery was good, then it ended up being bad in the end.

Many mystery problems can be traced to a bad battery, even one that tests good. Lot less expensive to swap out for a known good or even new battery, rather than jumping in & changing parts.
Well, I got excited and thought I had it. While looking around, I saw the sparkplug cable next to the battery had some fraying, chew marks. I changed all the plugs and while there, I took somebody else's advice and changed the battery terminals with stronger types. Saw animal crap so looked diligently at all the wires I can see. No luck again. Tomorrow's another day.
And so whats the updated story did you end up fixing it??
The OP has not posted since December 2023 so I doubt he will reply back…if you are having a similar issue it’s best to start a new post telling us exactly what you are experiencing and as much info about your car as you can.
