DRL Issue

Can anyone help point me in the right direction of locating my issue with the DRL’s? They randomly turn on even when the car is off and has been off for hours. Also while driving they randomly turn off and on and using the manual off switch on the light stalk only works sometimes.

I’ve tried swapping relays with the wiper one with no avail. Could it be one of the bulb sockets shorting? When I re did the headlights last week I noticed the driver side had been burnt before (car is new to me). BCM going bad possibly? Most of the searches I’ve seen has to do with aftermarket headlights and mine are stock. Thanks for any help given.

Cheap, easy, sometime helpful, 1st thing to try, is to disconnect the battery for a few minutes. This will reset some/all of the computer modules.

Unfortunately I’ve tried this as well. The issue killed my last battery and the battery in it is new. I do however still get the the occasional “service charging system” though.

that sound like a alternator issue
