p2714 tranny problems
Hello, i have a 2006 corvette. im having a bit of a problem. i can not every give it full throlttle. if i give more then 40% throttle. the RPMs jump kinda like it went into neutral. the check engine light comes on and it seems to be stuck in a higher gear, as it lacks a lot of power and runs in higher RPMs. IE if im going 75, im at over 3k RPMs. versus normal 2k. when the check engine light is on and its in this state i can not use my paddle shifters. when i run the codes i get a p2714, valve stuck. i have had a trans flush hoping it was gunk getting stuck. no luck. the code will go away after awhile of driving and it goes back to normal. but will come back on if i give it a decent amount of throttle. any advice on my next step for diagnosing? would it be worth replacing the valve? or should i just replace the whole VB. im mechanically incline. was a diesel mechanic for a numbers of years however when it comes to trannys im my knowledge is extremely basic.
