Performance shops in DFW?
Looking for reccomendations for a performance shop in DFW and some rough estimates on pricing. Just moved to the area, looking to put a BTR or TSP stage 2 cam plus supporting mods in my c6 ls3.
not looking to spend $14,000 for a stage 1 cam install🙄

Wouldn't be my first choice if you wanted them actually give a **** about you and your car.

I have no personal experience with any of these shops aside from 21st Century which is why I would never go to them again. But here's who I would go with, if I had to do it all over again.
-Dedicated Motorsports in Weatherford Texas. (Highly Recommended by Asylum Motorsports out of Louisiana, he's my transmission guy. 6L80E)
Based on the conversations with Asylum, this shop would be ideal for the small to big builds.
-LG Motorsports in Anna.
I'd consider these guys for your BIG builds.
-Advanced Modern Performance "AMP". (A personal friend of mine has his C7 out that shop and he's 1400+rwhp, really says good things about them.)
I'd consider these guys for your BIG builds.
Now, I could go into depth about my experience with 21st Century, but in a nutshell... I couldn't spend enough money for them to care. It was only because I created a thread here on the forums that they even tried to make an effort.

Based on the conversations with Asylum, this shop would be ideal for the small to big builds.

If you were in Austin area . Aikman is great. Was going to have them do a cam upgrade on my C5 cost was 5k. that was oil pump, cam, springs , and a few other thing. Their work is top notch. To bad the are moving near Killeen

I’ve had a few cars turned up by 21st CMC and the results have always exceeded my expectations. Matt and John don’t do much on this site or social media so I doubt a thread caused a reaction when everything else on here is positive. If you are sharing how you received fewer laughs and fist bumps than you had expected for your money, you are welcome to share. However, most of the people on here will prioritize quality work over fuzzy feelings.

- Matt personally told me he viewed the thread I created and asked me not to trash his name online which I agreed to at the time because I had no other options or so I thought, so your comment about him not checking my thread was false. I kept it under wraps for as long as I could, now I just don't really care. I, like anyone else am allowed to share my experiences. Every shop is gonna have mixed results, not every shop gets it right.... I understand that. But it's how you treat your customers + results that keep people coming back. In my case, I got a lot of promises with ZERO accountability. Am I saying its the end of the world? Nah... just one bad review for the shop. Lots of cars go through there.. with lots of success I'm sure.
- I emailed a few people the tunes that Matt sent me, not a single one of them thought the tune was any good and downright dangerous. BUT I am not a tuner, I've got no clue. I can send the tune to whoever wants it, if they are interested. I'm just a customer, all I do is drive and pay the bill, why's it my fault? lol
- Fuzzy feelings? **** all that. I wanted results and paid for them, just like any other schmuck who doesn't work on cars but likes to go fast. So defend your friend all you want, I'm happy they have someone to have their back, cause I sure as hell didn't get that from them. How many people want to pay 35k just to get disappointed... this wasn't a cold air intake install... lol
Accountability means we have to share our experiences to keep these shops honest. My complaint, may be the first and only issue they've ever had... but if I don't give my honest review... everyone's gonna think they are perfect. That's how people grow, by being held accountable. Please don't disregard my experience just because you think you know someone or have done business a few times. **** happens.
I truly hope they are pumping out quality projects all the time. Wish I was one of them.
