Harness replacement and buttons on stearing wheels
Hi,
I have some electrical trouble on my LS2.. My mechanist told me that car need total harness replacement. We try replace fuses, clean fuse box, use some sprey for better working and no changes. He checked wires, plugs etc. Nothing.
My issues are:
sometimes half of my dash board turn off backlight or I cant access board computer or some weird messages on my computer. Sometimes I cant turn off light in interier etc.. When I turn off and on my car and this issues can be fine..
But my main question is:
I have stearing wheel from z06 with volume buttons on it (my c6 dont have that buttons originaly). But it dont work even with brand new Kenwood radio and some harness for it.. If i change complete harness will it work?
I dont wont to sell my car just for buttons but I love music and its very unconfortable and dangerous to touch touchscreen all the time..

I would look into the body control module before an interior wiring harness.
While there might be a chance the steering wheel buttons could work with a PAC unit in between the radio and harness, I don't know for sure.
