Default 2005 C6 differential conversion!!!!

I am doing a C5 Z06 differential in a 2005 C6 corvette. Do you have to change the cover with the bracket part to make it fit? As well as I am aware that people made brackets for them but this was like 8+ years ago. It is 2024 now!! Does anyone have a link or someone i can come in contact with that will make me one to connect the subframe to the diff with the bushing on it please & thank you!!!

Check with RPM Transmissions or Zip. Not sure if they make them anymore. Probably too late but easier to go with an 06+ becasue of parts availability.

Looking for the same option. Did you find out how you are going to make this work?

Well I don't think the transmission adaptor is available. I was making these before I left Zip and I don't see them on the website anymore. So there is a easier fix, the weak point of the 05 diff is the weakness of the housing around the pinion. This area was reinforced on the 06 along with a change in the front of the mount which is why you can't use it on a 05. You can substitute in a C5 housing though, keep your side covers so that it mounts in the 05 cradle. The C5 housing is reinforced in that area with the mount. You can also mount it there as well but even without it the housing is stronger. It is not as good as the 06-up but you are going to spend a ton of less money going the C5 housing route. Hope this helps.

What you're saying is that I can use the c5 z06 dif and the 05 c6 dif covers with the dif mounts. Those covers will bolt on and I can use it just like that in the 05 c6?
