Differential Fluid Change Help 2007 C6 Corvette
I went to the Chevrolet dealer and they told me I need to purchase the following in order to do a differential fluid change.
They told me to buy:
qty 2 8890041 lubricant $43.33 each Total $86.66. 10-4016
sae 75w-90
qty 1 88900330 additive $19.44. 10-4003
I know I can buy these products at a lower price.
I read some posts and they had conflicting info. Some said to add the additive, others said not to.
What is the latest 2024 Chevrolet update?
Also if the additive is required, how much lubricant do you add, and how much additive do you add.

PS I was just told to use Axle lubricant 88862624. This has the additive already in it.

This is what RPM transmissions recommends:
We recommend Valvoline full synthetic 75/90 (we do not recommend the GM gear oil, Redline, or any shock proof gear oil) • Use 1 tube of GM limited slip additive part # 1052358 unless unit is a Stage IV with a Quaife or Wavetrack LSD.
88900330 replaces 1052358, $11.99 on Amazon.

I changed mine with the the AC Delco fluid below. It has the friction additive included and fixed my crunchy sounding diff when turning at low speeds.
