Took my 2012 Grand Sport Vert (6spd) off the maintainer for four days while my wife and I travelled to see family. Had driven the car two days before and it started and drove fine. The battery is a year old and sits on the maintainer nearly always.
Upon return, I can't get the doors to open with either fob (which have new batteries). I put the multi-meter on the battery and it says the battery is charged, actually says the battery is overcharged. (30v, if that is even possible) Yes, I put fresh batteries in the meter and yes, I have it set correctly.
I know these cars are very sensitive to voltage fluctuations and weak batteries.
I have never been presented with this kind of issue with the car. I think I will disconnect the battery and let it sit for a few hours today and then reconnect to see if I get any response.
The strategy of disconnecting the battery and letting it sit about three hours seems to have worked. Can't explain why the problem happened in the first place.
Will return the battery to the maintainer and watch it closely for a few days.
I have never seen a battery read 30 Volts. I believe, I would remove the battery from the car.
Set it on the back porch in the shade and watch the voltage drop over a several day period.
If that battery really reads 30 volts I'd buy a new battery.

I would buy a new DVOM or check how it’s set up !!
Thanks to all that posted responses. I did buy a new multi-meter and battery is ok.
The disconnected battery reset mentioned above was coincidental to the success reported.
Even though the fob battery was recently replaced, when I got in the car, I got "no fob detected".
Turns out the fob battery was just strong enough to sometimes open the door, but not up to par.
I replaced the battery again and all is good. Lesson learned that most electrical issues originate with the car battery or the fob battery.
