"Key fob not detected"...?
New batteries (and tested voltage to ensure the batteries were good) in both fobs.. Car will start and operate as normal if I put the fob in the port in the glove box, but I get "no fob detected" otherwise.
I did a quick search and people say batteries in fob.. well, it isn't that.
Replaced the battery and this problem showed up.
Suggestions?
UPDATE#1: Checked both fob batteries were good (they are).. I have ran the long relearn (3x 10 minute learning sessions) 3 times.. The last time, it went to the learning fob mode (YAY!).. but then, after swapping in both fobs and trying to start the car, same issue.. Now, it won't even start with it in the fob port in the glove box... trying it again... sigh.
UPDATE #2: Well, I am at 8x repeating the long reset method. I have ensured both fobs batteries are good and installed correctly.
I get to the insert FOB #1, 2, etc mode just fine, but after programming the second fob, removing it and hitting the acc button, nothing.. Just goes back to "no fob detected".
I can unlock, lock, pop the trunk, and sound the alarm, but when I try to start the car.. I get the error message.
UPDATE #3: Tried the short, then long method one more time last night, this time I had no other devices anywhere near the car (bluetooth, phone, etc).. Same result.. Fob operates normally for everything OTHER than starting. When I hit the start button "NO FOB DETECTED"...
So, I've been going through this as well. When you say the batteries tested good, what was your voltage? I noticed that the only thing that helps with this issue is if the batteries are above 3.2V. When mine dropped below that, I'd have a host of issues. I even went as far as to wire in a remote 3.6V battery into my spare key to see if it would help and that fob works great every time. I noticed some of the rechargeable 2032 batteries advertise up to 3.6V, so that may be worth a try.

Thanks, they were all well above 3v, but not quite that high. I will get some new batteries again and see what I can figure out.
