New to the page so this may have been answered, but I have a 07 LS2 that started flashing service charging system. So I seen that the battery terminal wasn't the cleanest and previous owner wedged a zip tie in between the terminal. I cleaned the terminals and the ground under the battery tray, reassembled. Car fired up and volts appeared to be running consistently at 13.6, I go to shut the car off and it's in accessory mode and dash saying FOB not detected. So I disconnected the negative side so battery wouldn't drain. Came out the next day, accessory mode immediately came on with dash lights, so I go to push the ignition and nothing. Any clue, thanks in advance
If you have some electrical knowledge and have a DVOM you can FIRST check your battery and the FOB battery…I’d even take it to get load tested at your favorite parts store…anything that may affect the RF signal or your FOB ??…garage door opener, anything plugged into the car such as radar detector etc…you can follow the diagnostic flow chart below…now what was the zip tie used for ??

they had it wedged between the negative terminal and the battery post since they couldnt tighten it down. I'm assuming they did that instead of cleaning the terminal, it tightens down fine after cleaning

I’d suggest getting rid of those crappy OEM terminals and get some good ones…I picked these up at Autozone.
