Which heads for 416ci ?
1. MMS 235 Cathedral Heads and cam specced by Tony Mamo keeps your Fast Intake and provides better low end/drive ability & + ~50-70 hp.
2. MMS LS3 (AFR version) Heads, New FAST (Mid/Long Runners) & Tony specced Cam
(More top-end, give up some low-end/ tip in below ~ 3500 rpm & + ~ 70-90 hp.
Depends on Goals & Budget.
My .02

If I were building one now I would look into my MMS 243 heads on that displacement engine.....slightly larger port with ALOT more flow. With a smallish cam it will still have plenty of low end and make a bunch more power over your current combo
A big tell on an engine combination with poor heads or an airflow issue in general is when you make similar HP versus torque.....even making 20 more HP is really soft....the engine just isn't carrying torque which is why the power drops off so quickly.
Gimme a ring or shoot me an email and we can discuss in more detail
Here is some info on my new 243 heads.....these things are killer!!
