Default Codes Again

I’ve been having codes thrown at me off and on with no actual problem. I’ve read that having something like an aftermarket Cold Air Intake could cause this if the car wasn’t “tuned” for it. My 2010 GS has a K&N CAI. Could this be my problem???

TIA

A cold air intake has absolutely nothing to do with those codes. For the tire pressure, first do the obvious make sure they are properly inflated to the pressure shown on the drivers side door jamb. If they are properly inflated and the DIC shows XX for the tire pressure then your TPMS sensors are probably dead, they are inside the tires and part of the valve stem assembly. They have a battery that isn't serviceable and last usually around 8 to 10 years. I tell people to replace them when getting new tires if they are more than 7 years old.
As far as the airbag I'm not sure.

Find an auto diagnostic shop in your area and take the car there…not a dealership or general repair shop and they’ll fix it…it’s not a blown fuse.

Thanks. I had the tires changed, and this being my first Vette that’s not from the 60’s, I wasn’t aware of the internal sensors. I can only assume that when they changed the tires, they took the sensors out of the old and put them in the new…Ya think???

They likely replaced the valve stem portion, typically called a TPMS service kit and let the original sensor.
See attached photo for a TPMS sensor.

No, not unless they added $150+ on the bill.
The sensors are mounted inside the rims.
Your problem will likely be solved by installing new sensors. It will be a little more expensive now. The time to change them is when you get new tires.
It saves labor charges.
The parts are $40-$75 each, depending where you buy them

Thanks…. 👍👍👍. Wish I had known. Only one comes on intermittently, the other three are good, plus, I’m not sure there’s an actual problem…

Check the connector under the seat. They have a history of causing airbag faults.
