P2138
I have a 2010 GS 6A. About 3 months ago I installed a "Pedal Commander". I loved it. Woke the throttle up and I only went to City level 1. I did try out all of them, except the "Econ" mode. Last week I kept getting "reduced power" and "traction control" lights. P2138 showed up. I reset and erased the code but it was persistent. Today I removed the pedal commander and the car drove fine, no codes. So I checked with my scanner/reader and the code was still there. It showed the code had been set 4 times. My understanding is if it will not erase it is a permanent condition. I don't understand why I cannot delete the code unless the pedal sensor itself has gone bad. Could the pedal commander have fried the throttle sensor? Will the codes disappear after a few cycles. Has any else had this issue and found the fix?
Thanks!
