Default Paint-n-body Guys. I Need Help

Question to you guys with experience with bodywork, rattle can paint, and plastic engine parts.
First, I only have access to rattle cans.
How can I repair these defects in my smoothy fuel rail covers, LS2 Vette?

Your repair depends on the amount of damage. If its just the paint that's cracked, you can sand it down, prime and repaint/clear. If the plastic is cracked, you will have to repair that with some type of epoxy or fiberglass repair, then as above. Make sure your prep before paint is done well and even using rattle cans, if you have a good amount of clear coat, you can sand it down with 1000 grit and buff back to a shine.

The plastic is not cracked and is in good shape. I hope I captured it in the photos. Finish lifting with some cracking has developed in specific areas. Will I need heat-resistant primer, paint, and clear?

Hard to say, I'm not sure you even find paint that was heat resistant. Shouldn't have to, just good prep.

Assuming you have some experience with painting, you will need to remove the paint from the affected areas, where it is bubbling you could probably peel it off. Then sand with appropriate grits, spray first with an adhesive promoter like Bulldog, then prime, base coat, clear coat.

As for heat paint, most that I've seen require heat to activate, as in for exhaust. I don't think you will need heat paint. I used automotive paint on my coil covers, they are ABS plastic like the factory FRC's

I've painted wheel cap covers and other plastic parts with rattle cans. I would do this project with rattle cans as well.

I painted my splitter with a rattle can, just had to do some polishing (sand/buff) after.
