Installing Axle Back ? and Diff/Trans Fluids while there
1. Should I replace the heavy "donuts" (I guess they are gaskets) where the OEM H pipe bolts up to the front flanges of car, or OK to just reuse existing?
2. Trans drain and fill plugs appear marked and I don't have to mess with cooler lines or anything else....just a basic drain and fill correct?
3. I see orange sealant on plugs, what is used on the threads when servicing?
4. Diff appears same, just a bottom drain and a side fill plug with nothing else to deal with? I get some noise on a curving backup when car is cold I think I remember a TSB for fluid change without modifier now?
5. I have the rear on 14" Race Ramp cradles and the front on 10" Race Ramps. For the fluids do I need to further lift the front to be closer to level?
Thanks for any input, did this many times on a 2012 Mustang GT but never serviced the Corvette rearend. I'm retired so thought it would be nice to DIY this stuff.
