I posted a couple of weeks ago that the convertible top for my 2013 427 had stopped working mid-way in the closing process. Well, after spending $800 at the chevy dealer, it is finally fixed. In case anyone comes across this problem, here's what happened. The aluminum part (connector) between #3 and #4 bow on the passenger side had a small broken ****, shown below, on the left side of the part, just above where it broke off from. The dealer got the part from vintage parts (vpartsinc.com), a company that buys out all parts from the mfg as soon as the mfg announces discontinuation. The part cost $16 on the website. The dealer charged me $90 for the part and overnight fedex. Then 5 hours labor at $200/hour. So the total was $1,100. My fault that I didn't research this before approving.
