Engine rebuild kit
2008 base a6 high mileage. Looking at rebuilding the engine. Just want it done stock but with good quality parts. Where is the best place to get a complete master rebuild kit?

I don't know if a master rebuild kit exists like in the JC Whitney era, but quality bearings (main, rod, cam) and rings are easy to find. Head gaskets, head bolts, ARP Rod bolts etc all add up quickly to the cost also. In every LS I've torn down that wasn't completely destroyed, the cylinder walls looked like new so a quick hone is all it took other that a lot of cleaning and thread chasing.
