no crank / fuel pump??
My 2005 C6 is my daily. Yesterday when leaving work or attempt to leave my car would not crank when pushing the start button. It seemed like a low battery issue. I heard a click noise. Some odd electrical things happened like my aftermarket stereo head unit rebooted. Headlights turned on, horn honked like I was leaving the fob in the car when I shut the door... When trying to jumpstart there was no click noise or crank. The car is nearing 117xxx miles and I have noticed the fuel pump making noise at times. Sometimes I hear it sometimes I don't. (driver side in front of the rear tire.)
Anyway if the fuel pump completely failed would the motor still crank but not start or will the computer knowing there is no fuel pressure make the motor not crank?
Thanks
It strange the jump start didn't work last night. I looked at the fuel pump relay and it does have some browning on it so I swapped it with the horn relay since the are the same then tried a jump start and it started right up!
Looks like I need a new battery plus replace the brown relay.
It is now a good day.

The car will crank but NOT start and get your battery checked out.
At first I was thinking the fuel pump died and the car wouldn't crank since there was no fuel pressure.

, fixed.
