Repairing my differential on my '06 Z06, and upon getting side I noticed this:

Also...tips on removing old gasket? That material is CAKED on. Plastic razor blades too weak. I'm too chicken to do metal razor blades and scratch the mating surfaces.
No damage that were they stake the pinion nut(just straight it up to take it off if you are pulling the pinion.
just use ultra black and let it sit for 24 hours
