Default Pinning Powerbond SFI balancer

I noticed it is machined for a square woodruff key , I suppose that’s to work with an aftermarket or machined crank
my question is when drilling to pin a Damper/crank combo, are you redrillind a new hole in both the crank and dampner 180 degrees from the cut in the balancer? Also, do these pinning jigs come with hardened roll pins? How deep do you drill? Do you use the thrust washer that comes with the Powerbond dampener?

Just drill it 180 degrees from the keyway and fill the unused keyway with silicone before installing the balancer bolt. The kit should come with everything to pin it with along with the correct depth to drill it.As far as the washer,I don't remember. It has been awhile and I am getting old!

Were I you!

Look into the ATI pinning tool. It pins 90* to crank and you install balancer using keyway in balancer.

I agree, I don't see why you need a new hole in the damper? I just buy steel rod at the Hardware store and cut down pins to match my ATI kit. Hardened or not, if it's installed correctly you aren't going to turn a damper with a steel pin in it

I also have a Powerbond and pinned it. I re-used the pin from when I pinned the stock damper when I installed my E-force. Just chose a different location on the snout and drilled there. The kit instructions indicated the depth of drilling and to use a piece of tape on the bit to indicate when at depth. Then used some green Locktite on the pin (probably not needed as the bolt keeps the pin in place). Used some RTV to fill the square keyway. I don't remember if damper came with a washer but if it did, I did not use it. I just re-used the friction washer that was already on my existing damper.
