I have started hearing a whine / rumbling roaring noise. Seems to be coming from the rear of car. I think it is Too loud to be a tire.
Are the hubs difficult to replace?
I think it might be a Right rear hub.
Thanks E
The hubs are a common failure point. I'd jack up the rear and check the tire for obvious play. If you have the tools and access, they aren't the worse thing to replace, but it ain't for the faint of heart.

Thank you.
Are there any special tools required. any thing made just for removing the hub?
Thank you.

I don't know if you'd consider these special tools, but you will need a big socket for the axle nut, a way to separate a ball joint (depending on how stuck yours is, anything from a dead-blow hammer to a proper ball joint tool), and a Torx T55 socket for the three bolts that attach the hub to the upright. Torque spec is 96 lb-ft.
