Hello, I just replaced my ABS Pressure Modulator Valve on my 2010 C6. Did a pressure bleed of the system. Want to do the Tech 2 Automated brake bleed that runs the ABS pump. What is involved with that procedure? Do I need the pressure bleeder hooked up. Just want to know how it is done. My service manual is not very clear on the steps required. (Maybe it is just my weak mind!) Thanks!
I just did a brake flush this past weekend and I too used my homemade pressure bleeder…very easy but watch the video and a good idea to have a battery charger connected…the ABS pump pulls a lot of current.
Thanks! I found a thread that stated that a pressure bleeder was not needed to do the automated bleed. Just watch the reservoir!! My Motive took a deep dive today and I had brake fluid coming out the pump hole in the cap! Glad it was not spraying! When I start the Auto Bleed on my Tech 2, it tells me what wheel to go to. When I hit start, it says open bleeder and pump the brake pedal. Trying to find out whether it is slowly to the floor, or fast pump? How long does it want me to pump? Thanks!
Did you watch the video ??…look at step 5….then open the bleeder and pump repeatedly…just follow what the scan tool tells you…I haven’t done a manual bleed in 40 years !!…I use my Motive bleeder cap on my homemade bleeder…no pump hole on mine…where is it leaking ??…you have to firmly push down and turn that cap fully…I lubed it with a little silicone grease.
