Default Help identifying this rattle

Need help identifying this rattle, sounds like it is coming from roughly the torque converter. Doesn't always do it, and it goes away when the car warms up. Started the car today to try and diagnose with a stethoscope and it didn't make the noise. Using the stethoscope I listened to the torque tube itself, and although I am not sure what vad bearings would sound like, there were no strange sounds. I am at a loss. Really don't want to do the torque tube rebuild if I don't have to. Anyone have any ideas?

does it do it the same in neutral and in drive? Wondering if the torque converter is grabbing instead of sliding smoothly. I've never owned an Auto vette so I'm generalizing.

Yeah. My guess is torque converter. I had a similar sound in my manual and it was the aftermarket triple disk clutch springs rattling.

If you're unable to pinpoint the rattling sounds, we may suggest bringing it to a Chevrolet dealership to have a deeper diagnosis performed to figure out the cause. Our team can help with that should you need it. Simply send us an email to socialmedia@gm.com to get started.

It does it in drive when starting to accelerate, but eventually stops making the sound once it warms up. I am going to do a little more probing around with the stethoscope.
