Can I just let the resistor just hang free in the back of the lens?

Use some heavy duty double sided tape and mount it to the bumper just below the tail lights. It's easy to reach and doesn't take much time at all.

Much thanks for the replies. The Vette lights are awesome. Had the lens tinted also.

Double sided tape. Cleaned the area and then heated it up. These things aren't going anywhere.

Yeah right behind the tail lights. They need some force to come off.

Have you checked them after some use? The resistors get really really hot. I just wonder if it melts the glue. I used metal wire tie onto the existing wires and a heat shield between for now with a plan to improve it later.

I have not but had a similar set up on my c5 and no issues. I'll check them in a week to make sure. Thanks for the heads up
