Default Side Marker and ACC / Fob Issue

2008 C6 Base

I am sure this has been covered 9 billion times but I cant find the right question / answer. I understand that sometimes when installing LEDs the c6 can have some adjustment issues.

I installed some LED sidemarkers yesterday (not sure brand but they are not Morimoto) they fit /look/ and when on are great. The plug in part was not as tight as I would have liked so I did tape the connection as best as possible and still fit the bulb housing.

However now :

1) When I press unlock on my FOB they do not always light up like they should. Worked perfectly as intended when I was installing as I kept pushing the button to insure lights all correct. I have played with them several time today and sometimes works correctly. Sometimes not.
2) I also noticed that with door open and i turn on the ACC it clicks every 5 seconds or so like it is not recognizing its on. When I close the door the clicking stops and appears to function properly. The lights all function and I pulled into dark garage and everything came on properly.

Think these LEDs have a short? Or the system is having an issue with them? I am thinking about just ordering Morimoto side markers as they seem to be the best recommended but not sure that solves this issue.

Thanks for any input.

David
