Great news !!…you have to jumper pin A to D and F…RCDLR and BCM…it should start now !!…do you know how to check for a short to ground ??…if no short to ground on the wire from the splice pack to the radio then maybe bad radio…was the radio working and is it an aftermarket ??

Ok will try that now, radio was working but it is aftermarket and has been in there for a long time. Do you have the schematic for the radio wiring, was googling now but thinking you may have readily available.
If you have a no comm with the radio you would have to check its powers and grounds….if the radio loses a power or ground that power or in your case a ground “jumps” or back feeds on the data line and then you’ll have issues…you’ll have to figure out on your aftermarket radio which one is the serial data wire…I’d do a quick short to ground test once you get the radio connector unplugged…hook up one lead of your ohm meter to pin c (radio) at the splice pack and other lead to a good ground or pin 4 at DLC and your Fluke should read “OL” !!

Jumpered A, D and F, connected battery, doorlocks worked, tried accessory mode and then I started it!!! I am beyond ecstatic. I owe you big time, if you ever come to Houston, dinner and drinks on me!
Now to figure out where the issue is with the radio.
Great !!…I posted above so maybe see if the data wire is shorted from the splice pack to the radio…either the wire is shorted or maybe missing power or ground on the radio if it’s not working…haven’t been to Houston since 2010 or so when I had a technical school when I was working for Continental Airlines at the time.

No short to ground from the orange wire in the factory harness or to the splice pack, also good continuity between the two. That connector goes into an OS-2Bose PAC interface, tracking down the diagram for that now.
Well if no short to ground on the wiring does the radio work ??…if you have the Tech 2 see if you can communicate with the radio.
No, I don't have a tech 2, but as soon as you plug in OS-2Bose Pac adapter it brings the serial bus network down, even with the other side of the module disconnected from the aftermarket stereo. The PAC wiring harness checks out fine but he corresponding pins on the PAC module ohm about 5 ohms from the serial bus pin to the ground pin. I went to the attic and retrieved the old factory radio and put it in the car, all is good. I am assuming the PAC adaptor failed and is grounding out my serial bus, it is going in the trash (I bought it used in 2012). I will order a newer style stereo adapter reinstall the head unit here in a few days. Again, thank you so much for all the help!
If you had to take the car to a dealership for this diagnosis it would have been there for months !!…I know they would have changed the BCM, Ignition Switch, ECM and who knows what else !!

Absolutely, I never would have thought that would be the root cause of the issue. I purchased one of the cheap CAN breakout boxes of Amazon, but it does have the lights for the bus activity, as soon as I plugged in that PAC module for the radio with the battery connected the serial bus would go down. Thanks again, you are a great resource on the forum!
