Hi fellas. Is it absolutely necessary to bleed out the small amount of fluid left in the ABS module when changing brake fluid? I don’t have a scanner with brake bleed capability.
Yes, need to use device that will allow automated brake bleed to cycle abs pump to get old brake fluid out of the abs pump and valves during brake fluid power flush.
If you don't, are not into the abs enough by locking up the brakes to cycle all the vavles and pump over time, then just allowing the old water soak brake fluid to corrode the abs valvesm and get spendy having to replace the abs pump side (if you can find one) when the valves do corrode and start to bind.
