Replacement RCDLR problem
I’ve scoured the forum and haven’t found a solution to my problem.
I bought a base 2006 convertible with 19k miles back in April. No TP sensors operational and fobs won’t work remotely. I’ve been driving the car with a fob in the inductor.
I bought a used replacement RCDLR from C&S Corvettes and installed it yesterday.
I have a Tech 2 knock off. I did the 30 minute learn fobs procedure for the 2 fobs I have. When done the car did not recognize the fobs even in the inductor although I can turn on accessory mode and the ignition (no start)
When I go to module setup I get a no communication, module is locked message.
Pulling fuse 11 does not reset the module.
I tried putting my old RCDLR back in to make the car drivable again but now it does not recognize the fobs and I am unable to get it into learn mode as I’m getting a locked message as well.
The Tech 2 shows both RCDLRs present the old one with a status of 1 and the new with a status of 0.
Is there anyway to force the new ECU to learn the new RCDLR password?
im stumped and my car is bricked for now. I would welcome any ideas or suggestions.
Thank-you.

I’m able to get the car into accessory mode and turn on the ignition with the new RCDLR but start is disabled. I’m kind of stumped as to what to do next.
it turns out that both key fobs I received from the previous owner were bad and had no rf output. He told me when I bought the car that the RCDLR was bad so I bought a replacement but couldn’t get through the program procedure.
I ordered a new key fob, used the long procedure to program and still couldn’t get through the security code learning process using my TECH 2 in the set up RCDLR mode in the Body control section. I was finally able to do the 30 minute code reset in the RCDLR section of Vehicle Control Systems.
Learned the new TPMS sensors and now everything works perfectly.
Many thanks to C5Diag, I would still be struggling without his help.
