I have an 08 vert edelbrock supercharged with long tube headers. When I get up to about 100, I get a flashing cel, been like this since I bought the car. Recently purchased hp tuners and I am getting misfires on almost all the cylinders, IAT is ~160° as well. Anyone know what I can plug into hp tuners to help diagnose what's causing it. I took the air filter off to see if that would help the IATs(130°) which it did, but the car ran awful, went into limp mode on the trans.
It might not be misfire but a vibration causing it. I am unsure how to diagnose that, but I know it's possible, and can be tuned more lenient Also making sure your spark plugs are gapped properly to make sure they are not getting blown out.
For instance, I think some people get false positives when they go to solid engine mounts etc. I don't know the exact fix, I let my tuner do the tuning. But vibration can be a thing.
That picture just shows #8. Should be easy enough. Plug. Wire. Injector. Coil. Swap with a known good.
It's almost all the cylinders, 1 and 8 being the worst. Plugs, wires and coils are all brand new too(oem). I'm about to pull the supercharger off later this afternoon when I wake up.
Elevated IAT can be caused by clogged cats because the exhaust gases instead of going out the exhaust are being “backed up” into the intake manifold…is your MAP sensor readings also elevated ??…at WOT the manifold vacuum should be low so if elevated that is another clue…HP Tuners is only a generic scan tool at best…I wouldn’t use it to diagnose a car.
Don't have cats. The map sensor is at 110 wot.... GM couldn't help me and my tuner couldn't help either, so I had to take it into my own hands. Trying the best I can. Learned a lot the last 2 years trying to figure it out.
110 what ???….kPa ??…probably best if you take it to a diagnostic shop !!…it looks like 3 and 8 so you can change those plugs and wires…anything beyond that will need some advanced equipment to diagnose…101 kPa is BARO pressure at sea level so that looks good…nothing to “plug into” HP Tuners to help…diagnostic equipment like a labscope is what’s needed and the knowledge !!
You may have a lean mixture issue. At an IAT of 160°F the computer will be leaning mixture to compensate for IAT. Were the injectors upgraded and fuel map adjusted to compensate for the additional air the blower is producing? And 160°F IAT is high, where is this measured? before or after the blower or intercooler(if you have one)? IAT should be measured after intercooler. Yours seems like it's measured after the blower.

Where are you located? Lot of skilled tuners out there that may be able to help.
