Default cat back Which one??

Thinking about adding cat back to my car at Carlisle this year.
There are several manufactures.
Can anyone give me insight on which one has the biggest benefit as to HP and sound.
Or, are they even worth it.
I currently have a stock system with wild to mild which I am not thrilled with.
Also, do you have to get a tune when adding. And, will it pass e check.

No tune needed, and no power gains will be had.
IMHO, if you have an NPP they are not worth it to change, but Borla, BillyBoat and Corsa are all popular options if you are looking for a tone change.

IMHO as well, Corsa are not worth the premium they charge, but they do not drone in the slightest bit either.

Yea no real HP gains from any catbacks. If you are looking for a sound change then start searching YouTube for c6s with various exhaust brands to get an idea of the sound. Hp is gained with swapping to headers, high flow cats/no cats, and bigger x pipe.

Agreed! But after driving with another cat back brand that drones, you might think that maybe the extra cost of the Corsa cat backs is worth it.

I've ran both the Corsa Sport & Xtreme on my C6Z and wouldn't run any others. Love them both and get a ton of compliments

The balance of volume/tone and lack of drone is perfect.

No significant power gains to be had from the exhaust.

Have both in stock - we're not too far from Carlisle if you'd like to have one installed (Philly suburbs) or can ship

I like the Borla S Type II. Deeper sound than Corsa and no drone.

If you want more/better sounds and a performance bump, add some Kooks headers and catted X-pipe to your stock NPP. Really makes a difference in regards to sound with the NPP open but is still quiet with no drone in normal driving. Will give a 20 to 25 hp bump. You would need a tune for this.

I don't know what e-check is but if it is state inspection, likely would not pass. But I am just guessing.

Where are you located? Corsa is the ultimate option if you are concerned about drone. There are options available from around $900-3k depending on what your ultimate goal is. If your focus is on adding more power, headers + xpipe will be a better upgrade vs just an axleback upgrade.

Do you guys have a brick and mortar showroom? I’m down in Reading area.
You guys hold any events there?

Lol you know Corsa doesn't start at $900. SLP will be an option at around $900. Corsa for C6 will start at $1899.99.

Yes in Warminster, about an hour and change from Reading.

I personally hold inventory, offer installs and usually do a few meet ups/cars & coffees throughout the year.

Give me a shout anytime

They’re no longer doing exhaust systems at the carlisle fairgrounds. After 2 lifts collapsed last year they will no longer allow it.

I'd recommend Corsa Sport.... nice powerful sound above 3000 RPM and absolutely NO DRONE !!!
AND quiet while cruising..... well worth the price.
AND lifetime warranty: I had one of my Corsa muffler hangers break off, I called Corsa, sent them a photo, and they sent me a new muffler, no questions asked.
I'd suggest listening on You Tube.... you'll have a good idea what they sound like.

I put Corsa Sports on my '06. No drone. A bit too quiet for my prurient tastes, but an improvement over OEM. Won't affect emissions and very easy 1-hours install, with a lift.
