Hey I'm hoping somebody can help me out with this issue that I have on my 2007 C6. So I bought my vet a week and a half ago and it only came with one fob which in the informational panel showed it as being #1 fob and showed that there is a #2 fob in my local area that works on my car. I went on Amazon and ordered a OEM fob. Now here's where the fun comes in, I was able to program the fob by using the key method in the trunk and had no problem with it. However, it showed it as #3 fob so I went to do the long relearn that takes approx 30 min. because I don't like the thought of somebody else being able to access my car and now I can't get it in the relearn mode so I can wipe all fobs and start over. I followed the instructions to the letter and nothing. What can I do to by-pass this trunk key turn it five times within 5 seconds method? Will a Foxwell GM NT510 Elite or a Xtool IP500 for GM be a go-around for the key method?
Thank you in advance for the help,

I have a 2006, I had to take mine to a local dealership. Same issue, I had 1 key fob, but it showed two. It would not program itself. But be sure your dealership has the older software (that works for these years). At first they couldn’t do it. New software wouldn’t communicate with car. Once they got the older software, took only 30 mins and I had three fobs, and they were the only ones the car now showed for it!
