Stock automatic drivetrain
I have a c6 ls2 with cam heads a&a supercharger ect. Currently 650 wheel. I recently installed a circle d 3600 stall converter. Now the cheater slicks no longer hold. Was going to go full on hoosier slicks but i don't have 12-15 k laying around to to drivetrain if it breaks. Anyone have experience on this?
Note, on the Z06, other parts in the diff strengthen to beef them up as well/
The short version, the output shaft on the trans stick out a country mile, the pinion gear sits on the end of that shaft, rides against the ring gear, and if too much power/Torque to start flexing the shaft and pinon gear is trying to ride up and over the ring gears, then either shaft snaps, or case is over torqued to blow it apart (both most of the time, and you can blow up a stock diff even with oem hp, by getting into wheel hop, and wheel coming down to get a good bite to do that same)..

Next come trans, how much is has been tuned for firmer shifts/stay locked up during higher rpm shifts, and if you at running prep drag strip with drag tires, where you can get enough grip to over torque it and the diff as well.
from the last rep it sounds like I probably want to keep a little slippage until I can afford to get the drivetrain upgraded.
any advice on torque tube and couplers? Billet coupler?

But there are some internal parts of both diff and case that may need to be upgraded, before you break, but the bigger threat is rear well spin, that turns in to wheel hop: that even the stock HP can blow the case when tire comes down to get a good bite to shock the diff.
As for torque tube couplers, pass the 6 shooter or solid couplers, since they love to break bolts in the rear coupler ,
and just go with the poly couplers instead.

Your under 1000Khp, should not have a problem with pretzel'g/twisting the oem torque tube shaft between the couplers, with the tires your running..
