Default Determining Gains After Header Install

I just had Texas Speed headers and X-pipe installed on my previously Dyno Tuned LS2 06 C6 Vette. The header installer did an HP Tune after installing the exhaust components. Because we used HP Tuner and not a Dyno, how do I determine my horsepower gains?

No way to measure it other than a before and after dyno session. Likely could see a pick up in quarter mile speed but again would have to be a before and after.

Typical header gains to the wheels are 20 to 25 hp. But as a rule of thumb, to actually feel an increase in power, 10% increase is about the threshold where most people can feel a difference.

The above, and if TM was still in play, and was tuned out this time around, picked up a touch more HP over the average of 25HP instead, with good tune to take motor all the way to 6.2K pulling strong, not rolling off after 5.8K like the standard tune.

As for tuning without a dyno, kind of iffy, since can not see what can be done to not only achieve max HP at full redline (pushing timing and leaning out aft), but what can be picked up in the meat of the power band with torque with lowering AFR/pushing a touch more the timing before detonation there).

And to note, Torque management Hobble the engine on how much power it can put to the rear wheel instantly, not what the motor can make when it allowed to ramp up slightly longer instead (will not effect top end speed on the car). So when TM is tuned out, allows the motor to ramp up/rev up faster, and how you gain some HP on the dyno. Truth is, do nothing but just tune out TM in the tune, and it shows up on the dyno/seat of the pants in the driver seat as huge felt gains to begin with.

As for wanting to make the motor savage, even in stock form/power, then you go after the throttle mapping tune, that is holding power back on demand via pedal as well.

Dyno numbers do not mean much to me. ETs and MPH at the dragstrip tell the truth.

The numbers are the same regardless if tuned, if tuned in a dyno, or tuned on the street.
Base on 25ish whp and +10-15whp with a tune.
