Default ABS, active handling, traction control.

I’ve read around a lot about this issue but figured I’d ask for some more input.

2007 c6 manual

BACKGROUND: I started getting abs, service traction control, and some active handling that would happen intermittently and when I’m going over small bumps. It sometimes come on, sometimes doesn’t. Disappears after I turn the car off. Most the times I start the car the lights won’t be present and sometimes they will come on, sometimes they won’t.

MY CODES:
C0045: LR wheel speed sensor circuit malfunction
C0050: RR wheel speed sensor circuit malfunction
C0710: Steering wheel position signal malfunction.
C0550: ECU malfunction
C0253: centering fault.

MY STEPS:
-I’ve checked and cleaned both rear speed sensors
- I’ve cleaned all the connector harnesses behind battery on firewall
-I’ve cleared codes and they do come back
-if no codes are present on dash and I scan car the codes still pop.
I’ve checked to make sure wheel position sensor is plugged in.

NEXT STEPS:
-remove battery and check/clean inspect grounds under battery.
- test battery. It is a duralast battery appropriate size from 01/23
-unplug and clean ebcm connector.

Im not worried about the wheel speed sensors or steering position sensor as I can change those. My concern is my ebcm is fried and changing those won’t do a thing. I’m aware of used eBay ebcm and ebcm repair services. Has anyone been in a similar situation? What did you do to resolve this? I’ve looked around forums but everything is a little all over. Any input appreciated

Also not sure if it’s related but sometimes by radio doesn’t power on when I start the car. Replace head unit and it didn’t resolve issue.

I had a similar problem on a '08, and eventually tracked it down to the abs module. It's no longer available new. I bought a complete used abs unit from a Corvette wrecking yard in Az. and swapped out the electrical module to my abs unit. I was advised that I would need to get it programed, but it worked as is.
It was frustrating because of the intermittent different codes that would pop up.

Checked battery it was very good still. Cleaned ground contacts. Problem persists.

If you have a telescopic steering wheel, you might have the "short wire" that causes the conditions you describe.

There's a recall for this. Check the NHTSA site for details.
