Whining noise from transmission
Good morning gents, I recently replaced my 6L80 transmission in my 2006 Corvette and when i started it up for the first time i got a pretty loud whining noise coming from the forward center of the transmission. I did the fluid fill up procedure correctly and still notice it. I suspect it is an issue with the pump because when i removed the drain plug while the car was running the fluid drained out as if the car was off. What other troubleshooting methods would you guys recommend before i pull the transmission back out of the car? (drive and reverse both work, whine is only present at idle.)
