2005 Window Regulator

Hi, I have a problem with the drivers side window on a 2005 Vette, it goes up and stops halfway when i took the door panel off i found the cable in the right side of the rail was shredded, it appears the regulator is discontinued i did find on e-bay complete regulators around $800.00, I also found regulator repair kits for around $80.00, I was wondering if anyone has done this repair and could explain how to remove the regulator and re-install, also does anyone have experience with the re-build kits, i put some pic's of what i found on e-bay. Thanks for any help

My advice is to call glass company that replaces windshield and windows, they have knowledge to your questions?

You might want to ask for estimate this way you get warranty.
