New owner, electrical problem or option to disable?
So I've only had my '08 base convertible for a couple of weeks, but have noticed that anytime I use the buttons to adjust the HUD or gage cluster display (fuel economy, trip display, etc) there's an audible pop in the stereo and sound decreases for under a second.
I'm trying to figure out if this is some kind of ground or wiring issue with the stereo installation (previous owner, Alpine iLX-507, car equipped with Bose stereo originally) or if it's a factory thing that can (hopefully) be disabled. I haven't been able to find any applicable info during searches so far, so apologies if I've just overlooked obvious information somewhere.
