2013 Corvette top squeaks

Hi,

Does anyone know how to stop the squeaking? I followed a you tube video with no luck.

It squeaks at the drivers side handle that locks it in place. I think it is to tight... Is this adjustable?

I have the same annoying problem with my 08. Mine is a creaking noise and it makes your car seem cheap.

There is no permanent fix. Just need to apply some silicone oil or grease to all of the rubber seals of the top and also of the doors. And this creaking is not exclusive to Corvettes. Lots of cars have this problem.

I use silicon oil instead of grease as it is a lot less messy:

Super Lube Silicone Oil High & Low Temp CST

You can also search for other fixes such as using rubber 0-rings on certain parts of the latches to dampen vibrations.

They all creak. I even had a noise from it in the rear storage holders.

I did not want a removable top! I guess I will look for a C6 Z06.

Take off ur top and run a few lines of Chap-Stik on the rubber. Smear it on the contact surfaces. Done.

I just stopped the noise by putting dielectric grease on the pins and the rollers and the surface of the metal the rollers roll on. I'm sure it will have to be done again at some time.

This is exactly what I did. Worked like a champ. I re grease every time I remove the targa. It literally takes a minute.
