Hey, guys. I have a C5 Corvette. Reason for posting here is simple. My 2000 is in the '97-'00 group thats vulnerable to the EBCM and SWPS failures, and neither can be repaired. I'm posting here because I'm curious how common these failures are in C6 land. I may end up owning a C6, but before I jump ship, just how common are they in the C6? Can either be repaired in the C6? Are they plentiful in the used parts market? Thanks, guys.....

Corvette Mike in Anaheim, CA was once selling units they rebuilt. Can't say for sure if that's still true today. Wouldn't hurt to call. 1-714-630-0700.

Like the C5, GM switched ABS systems mid-way through the C6 run. 2005-2008 were by Delphi, 2009-2013 were Bosch. Anecdotally it seems like you hear more often about problems with the Delphi EBCMs, but not very often. Also 2005-2008 cars are more plentiful (70% of C6 production), and they're that much older.
The EBCMs are long out of production but working ones are readily available from junkyards for a few hundred bucks. On the Delphis at least, if you get one with the same code number on the label you can just plug it in and drive. No programming required. There's a main relay that can sometimes die and is repairable with a lot of de-soldering; other faults basically require replacement of the unit.
The SWPS are available new. They also seem pretty reliable. The most common problem with that sensor is the connector coming loose.
