C6 electrical issue
I just finished installing long tube headers on my 2008 c6 Z06. First start it started fine. While running everything seemed good, except my coolant temp was not reading at all and the battery was dying pretty fast. I’m going to go inspect wires around the area of the install today. I’m curious if any one else has had this problem and what to look for. I jumped the car off and again it started fine but started dying as soon as i removed the cables. My alternator had no problems before so I’m assuming it’s a fuse or a damaged wire. Any help would be much appreciated.

For any electrical diagnosis you ALWAYS start with the battery…sounds like your battery may be spanked…have it load tested and we can go from there…you can make sure the 2 positive cables at the starter solenoid are clean and tight and that goes for the battery terminals also…make sure the ECT connector is plugged in.
