Hi All. I could use some advice on what aftermarket clutch you can recommend. My 2008 C6 LS3 supercharged motor is being rebuilt with forged parts by East Coast Supercharging. I'm upgrading my A & A Vortech supercharger from a 6 rib to an 8 rib direct drive pulley and am going to have an alky kit installed. RWHP will probably be around 700. I live in PA. I drive my car around 8,000 miles a year. 99% of the time I will be street driving, but I would like to be able to go to the drag strip the other 1% of the time. Right now I have the stock 6 speed clutch, but will upgrade the clutch to handle the power. The motor block is being built to handle up to 1000rwhp, which I do not foresee going to.
I am seriously considering going with a Monster Triple Disc clutch.
Any advice on upgrading to a clutch that handle 700-800rwhp and still be enjoyable to drive on the street would be appreciated. My current stock clutch handled 630rwhp fine, but I never took the car to a drag strip. I figured if I have the motor out of the car, it makes sense to upgrade the clutch st the same time. I am happy with the stock clutch, but worried it won't last too long with the added power.
Thanks.
