Covid delivery woes
TPS- Ordered a C6 racetronix harness + pump harness. Received no pump harness and got a C5 harness instead. At least the A&A kit was good (and the service from A&A direct was nice too)
TXDriveshaftshop - ordered a torque tube rebuild kit with bolts - all the bolts are too long and now hit the interior of the torque tube.
Summit - ordered an OEM LS2/3 corvette oil pan. Waited one full year and received a pan with a hole in the baffle. Waited another 6 months and they cancelled on me.
BTR - ordered two sets of pushrods, one 0.025 larger tahn the other. Apparently they sub out to two different companies for the sizes I ordered and they were different by 0.050 instead.
If I was not super OCD about measuring things and test fitting, I would be in a world of hurt right now.
Anyway, lesson learned - measure the **** out of everything the day I receive it, instead of trusting shops to send the right stuff and measuring it when all the parts come in.
PS. I just ordered the right things direct from racetronix, going to order TT bolts direct from mcmaster (M12x1.75x50, partial threaded preferred), Got a used LS2 pan from ebay, and will need to figure out the pushrod situation - thinking custom sized.
