Default LS3 into 2006 LS2 corvette

Hi all, I've done a bunch of searching on this topic but have found a lot of conflicting info. Hoping someone who has actually done this can tell me if I'm missing something. I have an 06 with a grenaded LS2, and I found a good deal on a low mile LS3 from a totaled automatic 2009 vette locally that I want to buy. I'm trying to figure out exactly what parts I need to make everything work. I'm a competent enough parts changer but this is new territory to me so I want to make sure I'm covering all my bases.

I believe I'm understanding that 06+ all use the e38 pcm with 58x reluctor wheel, so not anticipating issues there.

I understand the MAP sensor is different and I'll either rig the LS2 sensor into the larger diameter hole, or rewire my car's harness for the LS3 connector

The injectors and fuel rail are different but connectors are the same I believe? Plug and play there?

LS2 MAF should work? I'll use the LS2 water pump to keep my radiator hoses as I read that the hose routing is different. All other accessories seem the same to me?

I'm totally lost on what, if anything, I need to do as far as tuning and mapping. What else am I missing? TIA!

MAF may be different but not certain on that, PCM may need a tune to fully utilize the LS3s extra power, and being larger displacement I'm sure the fueling will be low without a tune resulting in a lean condition. Why not add some mods to the LS2 along with a tune and save some money?

My LS2 has a hole in the block. I found this LS3 still in the car to prove it runs fine, from a reputable local seller, for a price that's probably in line with what a used LS2 would cost me. I'm not too concerned with the power, just makes sense in a lot of ways. I can also grab other parts off of the car if they're needed for the swap, just trying to figure out what I'll need and if there's anything too involved.

As far as physically swapping it, should bolt right in, most of the wiring will be the same. Biggest think will be tuning it to make it run. Once everything is connected it should run albeit probably not well but enough to move and maybe load on a trailer.

You've already put some good thought into this and I don't have much to add on the physical swap. You will need an HPTuners MPVI device ($400) as well as 2 credits for your car ($100) and you'll be able to customize the tune for your new displacement, MAF tuning, MAP sensor scaling settings if needed, etc.

Looks like you've identified everything already. You will want to use the LS3 (card style) MAF to make your life easier.
