Throttle body
Hello.
I have a 2008 C6 base convertible 6.2. I see a lot of advertisements for larger, 102mm, throttle bodies for this engine. They range in price from $89.99 to $470.00. What is the difference between these throttle bodies or is it just going back to the old saying, you get what you pay for? Also is there a rough estimate of horsepower increase with the 102 mm throttle body compared to stock and would this be an easy install?

The Katech 103 IMO is my favorite of the tb upgrades but no need unless you have the proper intake manifold behind it. And no need for that unless you have heads cam at minimum. A ported stock tb really doesn’t gain hp but it may feel more crisp if done right. Better money spent in doing a rod mod on a stock ls3 manifold. There are power gains there.
