Hi New Here I am Mike.....I have a 05 manual conv. I am rebuilding it was a wreck. I bought an engine off ebay LS3 from a 2011 I have the 2011 harness and computer. I just realized so far anyway the brake module is different I have the 05 one If i get one from a 2011 should work correct? harness plug is different. any thing else I may run into?? Also bought a RPM Racing tranny.....but it only has 1 port for rev lights can I splice the lock out/l lights together ? or ill put the lights on a toggle NP. Thanks in advance

The BCM and rear trans harness you will also need in addition to an updated ABS module, The 05 trans harness will not have a fluid temp pigtail, so assuming you got a TR6060 from RPM you will need an updated trans harness if you want to see the temp.

The BCM and ECM have to be married to each via programmed VIN so if you could get the BCM off of the same car you got the ECM that would be ideal.

2005 through 2008 cars have Delphi ABS. In 2009 they switched to Bosch. The systems have different modules / pumps (the EBCM + BPMV), different lines from the master cylinder, different wheel hubs (the speed sensors are built-in to the hubs), and possibly different communications with the BCM. The harness is different too as you've already discovered.

You will probably have an easier time adapting your existing electronics to the LS3. There are some differences with the throttle and you'll need to re-tune the ECM. Unfortunately your 2005 has the one-year-only E40 ECM which may complicate matters. Search for info about LS3 swaps into early cars for more information about that. Note if you live in California that a tune will change the ECM's CVN code and you won't pass smog inspection.
