Default Noisy lifters?

My 2006 ls2 Base is making what I think are lifter noise. I'm looking for a mechanic in my area through the local clubs. What does a valve job entail on a LS2? I haven't messed with valves since my old small block 350. .

No video, we will have no clue what part of the engine the noise is coming from to help

No video, just a login page.

Take a piece of 3 foot long rubber fuel hose. Hold one end to your ear and CAREFULLY hold the other end near the top on the intake and near the exhaust manifold. It should help you locate the noise.

So is this the time to get LS3 heads and upgrade the engine? The engine has 228000 miles on it.

I don't track the car. Occasional spirited driving, but not too harsh. I'd like a bit more power and if the repair costs within 1K of an upgrade I might go that route. Any idea on the cost of new heads vs a valve job?
